Ahhh, there's nothing like a bit of Kyuss to go with a bottle of beer. Old skool fat riffs.

I recently acquired a new tattoo on my stomach. This was done using a traditional technique used in Japan called Tebori. This was done by a lovely chap called Marc Pinto. He is an avid collector of tattoo paraphernalia and ethnographic art, which he proudly shows off in his studio in Perth. The whole process took about six hours from start to finish. It wasn't as painful as my other tattoos, although there is always an element of pain, and the healing has been very swift. I highly recommend getting this "traditional" style of work done, if only for the experience of trying something without the machine.

Below is Marc in action, just to give you an idea. I may, if I can be bothered, post some pictures of my new piece.

Two great minds to admire.

Richard Feynman talks about the beauty of a flower. This man had a fire in him for knowledge, something we should all aspire to create within ourselves, if only to see just how great and wonderful our world truly is.

Carl Sagan talks about the great library of Alexandria and its loss to human civilization. Again, Carl had a wonderful ability to inspire others by simply talking about grand concepts with humility and passion.

Part the first.

I decided to start a blog.

I've had most of a bottle of sake which is probably part of the inspiration fot this dubious move towards pretentions of literacy. I'm not too sure how far I can or will take this, but for the sake of novelty I will try to post in the easiest possible way, that is to say I'll steal whatever takes my fancy. A magpie diary of sorts. This is easy when you trawl the internet after most of a bottle of sake.

Perhaps I can use this as a means of catharsis, a way to unburden my restless thoughts and frustrations at the world and myself. To be sure they will always be around even if this blog ceases to exist. Who cares? Not I.

Sake. I love you.
